Bill Barton

.

Bill passed away June 23rd, 2010.  Bill had remarried just weeks before his death, and his daughter, Heather, was 17 years old at the time of her father's death.  Bill worked as an Engineering Technician in roadway design with the Mississippi Department of Transportation.  He earned a Business A.A. from Hinds Junior College and a Business B.S. from Mississippi College with a major in data processing.  Bill enjoyed hunting & fishing, and had the following comments here on his page: "Each of you are in my heart.  No one can ever take my memories of each of you.  Thank you for being a part of my life."

Celecia Cochran Covert shared these words with the class via e-mail the day Bill passed away:  "I was at the hospital with Bill a few days before he died.  He was in ICU and very critical.  The last thing Bill said to me was, 'Tell my friends I love them and thanks for all their prayers.  I could not have made it this far without them.'  Bill had such a kind heart.  He will be missed by so many.  He put up a good fight these past three weeks.  He was a Rebel through and through!  FH Class of '78 has lost a true friend."
